Medifact User Manual
Comprehensive guide to using the AI-powered evidence-based medical fact-checking system.
1. What is Medifact?
Medifact is a real-time cross-referencing and verification platform designed to audit medical claims and health rumors from blogs, news, and social media against the **global PubMed literature database** and **professional medical guidelines**.
By examining the Level of Evidence (LoE) of academic studies, we visualize whether a claim is scientifically supported, contradicted, or inconclusive, saving you from online misinformation.
2. How to Use the Engine
Method A: Direct Text Input
Copy and paste health statements, news contents, or video subtitles into the input box and click "Start Real-time Fact-check". The AI model extracts health assertions sentence-by-sentence to perform the checks.
Method B: Webpage URL Analysis
Paste the link (URL) of the article or blog post. Our background engine automatically scrapes the content and extracts medical relationships to cross-examine immediately.
3. Trust Scores and Grade Levels
Once audited, a weighted rating score out of 100 points is computed based on research validity, matching references, and the level of clinical support.
Verified
The claim has strong scientific backing with randomized controlled trials (RCTs) or comprehensive meta-analyses.
Disputed / Inconclusive
Conflicting studies exist, or evidence is restricted to small-scale pilot studies and animal trials.
Medical Warning / Misinfo
The claim contradicts medical science, lacks official research data, or has high health risk and adverse side effects.
4. Credit Billing Policy
Due to high-performance AI inference and live database crawling costs, **1 credit is deducted per successful verification**.
